Iron Sharpens Iron

the phrase is pretty well-known, and no one denies its meaning. I also do not deny its true meaning because of people I have met in my life. I would like to introduce one of the people who taught me what it means to grow together as persons along with the challenge I am doing this summer is Marian Ledesma!

Here are Transformation Thursday pictures of us, haha.

Marian or Mare is one of my amazing friends I have met through Valley Christian Schools since 8th grade. We especially bonded together as sisters in Christ through sports (cross country, soccer, and track), classes, and Bible study. Even though we have been physically distant from each other for college, we stay in touch through FaceTime, texting, and letters. Today, Mare and I were talking on FaceTime and sharing our summer plans. We both were looking for ways to spend this summer in a more meaningful, innovative, and productive way. Then, we ended up with an excellent idea of blogging weekly in a perspective of sending letters to each other! As college students who created their blogs but did not get to post much during their first year of college, we wanted to use this summer to write more blogs and thought this challenge would keep each other accountable of telling stories through our blogs. I am excited to spill cups of Jo(e) through this challenge and see how two of us grow as friends and bloggers.

Dear Mare,

I am so excited to start this spontaneous journey of writing with you and grateful for having a friend like you. Even though we are a whole ocean away from each other, our friendship is continuously growing through various ways. I am looking forward to read your blogs for next 10 weeks. Shall we begin?

Love,

Jo
